Now on its 4th consecutive year, SCA Batch 86 Today (SCABEST) plans another Christmas gift-giving this coming December 2008 to selected children of our hometown, Sta Cruz. The Christmas gift-giving, a brainchild of Eden Tongson, started in December 2005 as part of SCABEST's 20th year high school reunion in April 2006. The first recipients of the gift-giving were selected children at Lipay. In December 2006, the recipients were selected children of Sitio Bangan at Malabago. Last year, December 2007, SCABEST coordinated with the Catechist ministry of St. Michael Parish headed by Ms. Belen Muyano for the selection of school children as recipients of the gift-giving. Ms. Muyano nominated 50 school children from Lupa at Tubo-tubo North, and for the first time, the gift-giving was held at the grounds of SCA Quadrangle, and was personally graced by Father Noel Montes.
For this coming December 2008, SCABEST is aiming to give Christmas joy to 100 school children to be nominated by the Catechist ministry. With a broader support from SCABEST and its friends from other SCA batches, the 100 school children will experience Jollibee Christmas Party complete with games, food and the personal appearance of Jollibee mascot.

Tulad ng ginagawa natin sa nakaraang tatlong taon na, we hold the Christmas Gift-Giving, and we select limited number of children as recipients of our gift-giving in coordination with Catechist ministry led by Ms. Belen Muyano.
I was just talking to Marvin Castil, he will give 200 pairs of slippers for our gift-giving this coming December. Ako naman, I am planning to give each recipient a bag of Gardenia products.
We normally hold our Gift-giving between Christmas and New Year. Siguro, the best proposed date is Dec 28 (Sunday). Monday (29) may be declared as holiday kase ipit na sya ng Rizal Day (Dec 30) at Dec 31 to Jan 1. Kindly course your donations to our email group for proper acknowledgment, and for proper accounting. From Romel Barrera: Alam nyo ba na for a minimum food order of P5,000.00 puedeng mag-conduct ng Jolliland Party ang Jollibee Alaminos sa Sta. Cruz? For additional P1,500 may kasama nang mascot. Kung tama ang aking mathematics, P130 per kid ang cost kung 50 kids lang ang target natin.
Yong mga SCABEST members, magdala na lang ng sariling sandwich at drinks, or better else, beer at pulutan na lang at sa bahay ni Balong after the gift-giving for the fellowship.

Pakibigay na lang po ulit ang account number nyo para ma-i-remit namin ang pera. I'm sure pwede nating gawing 100 kids eto sa dami ng gustong mag-donate at magpasaya ng mga bata.

1. Nireserve na natin si Jollibee para sa Araw ng Lunes ika-29 ng December, 2008 sa ganap ng 2:00-4:00 PM. Kung may objection kayo sa date at time just let us know para maka-adjust tayo.
2. Kaya nilang mag-accommodate para sa 100 o higit pang bata.
3. Sila na ang bahala sa programa at palaro. Eksaktong dalawang oras lang ang kanilang show. Tayo na rin ang maghahatid sundo sa kanila.
4. Since we are doing this for a good cause, suportado ng Jollibee ang mga ganitong kaganapan at ibibigay nila ng Libre ang appearance ni Jollibee. So pagkain lang ang ating babayaran.
5. Ang pagkaing ipre-prepare ay Yum burger, Peach Mango Pie at Juice drinks sa tetra pack(Initial, depende sa number ng bata at budget mayron tayo). Dinidiscourage nila ang spaghetti para sa okasyong higit sa 100 ang kakain dahilan sa madaling ma-spoil ang spaghetti.
6. Para sa isang daang bata, mahigit na 7,000 ang ating babayaran para sa pagkain. Inisyal na impormasyon lamang ito. May maaaring mabago pa sa mga naitalang impormasyon.
So please have your suggetstions as early as possible. Ang mahalaga ay reserved na ang araw ng ating gift giving at binigyan nila tayo ng priority sa anumang pagbabagong ating gagawin. Ang lakas kasi ni Atty Mel Barrera sa kanila. Kung pupunta kayo sa Jollibee Alaminos dalawang tao lang ang banggitin nyo doon tiyak na asikasong -asikaso na kayo. Si Atty Barrera dahil member ng Jollibee Kiddy club ang anak nyang si Adee at si Dr. Jim Fune dahil istambayan nya ang store nila. Naka-usap ko na din si Father Noel Montes, ang ating Kura Paroko sa St. Michael Parish. Buong -puso nyang pinaaabot ang kanyang kagalakan at suporta sa gagawing gift giving. Sa pagkakataong ito, hindi pa namin nakakausap si Ginang Belen Muyano para sa detalye ng mga batang dadalo sa gift giving... We will give you updates soon...
